Health Policy

During this unprecedented time, Share and Care is doing everything we can to keep your children and families healthy. Please refer to our COVID-19 section for updated information regarding safeguards in place. Please find answers to commonly asked questions in the section below.

Please Keep Your Child Home If:

  • Temperature of over 100 degrees off of pain medication

  • Pink Eye (conjunctivitis)

  • Bronchitis

  • Rashes that you cannot identify

  • Diarrhea

  • Impetigo

  • Vomiting

  • Severe cold Fever, sneezing and nose drainage

  • Your child seems sick without obvious reasons

When Can My Child Come Back?

  • Fever Over 100
    Your child must be fever free without a fever reducing medication for 24 hours.
  • Prescribed An Antibiotic
    If your child has been prescribed an antibiotic, it must be administered for 24 hours prior to returning to the center.
  • Unexplained Rash
    If your child has an unexplained rash, a doctor's note is required upon returning to the center.
  • Can you give my child medication?
    We are able to administer medications only if labeled "age appropriate" and in the original container.
  • Diarrhea and/or Vomiting
    Symptom free for 24 hours
